Real Madrid defeated Real Valladolid 0-3 on Saturday at the Estadio Municipal José Zorrilla to consolidate their position at the top of the table. This win gave them a lead of four points at the top after Atletico Madrid dropped points against Villareal.

World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe was the star of the game scoring his first-ever hat-trick for the club. Around the half-hour mark, he gave Madrid the lead after a one-two with Jude Bellingham.

In the second half, he scored one off Rodrygo’s assist and the other from the spot to secure Madrid’s fourth consecutive win in La Liga. Around the 86th minute, former Real Madrid player Mario Martin was shown a yellow card as his foul against Bellingham was penalised. It was his second yellow, thus resulting in a red card. The defending champions will now shift their focus on the midweek fixture in the Champions League as they face Brest.

Karl Hein: 5.3/10- The goalkeeper did not have a great game between the sticks conceding three goals for his team. He only managed to make one save.

Lucas Rosa: 7.0/10- The Brazilian left-back maintained a passing accuracy of 92 per cent. He created a chance for his team and was involved in eight defensive actions.

David Torres: 5.8/10- The defender was initially good but eventually faded when Madrid pressed on. He was unable to mark Mbappe properly and it led to various attacks.

Javi Sanchez: 5.9/10- Just like his fellow defender he did not have a great game. He was involved in 10 defensive actions and lost three duels for Real Valladolid

Luis Perez: 6.4/10- The Spanish right-back ran up and down but had to focus more on the defensive duties. He was involved in six defensive actions and made three important clearances for Valladolid.

Midfielders

Selim Amallah: 6.3/10- The midfielder had a normal game and his passing was good despite pressure from Madrid’s midfielders. He created only one chance in attack.

Mario Martín: 4.9/10- He was shown a red card after receiving a second yellow for a foul on Jude Bellingham. This foul led to a penalty for Real Madrid.

Anuar Tuhami: 6.0/10- The midfielder had the basic game but his passing was good. He did not get much of an opportunity to build an attack but did well in the counterattacks.

Mamadou Sylla: 6.3/10- The attacker was taken off around the 86th minute and had an ordinary game. He took two shots on goal, out of which only one ended on target.

Marcos Andre: 6.7/10- The Striker had won the most number of duels in the game and had three shots on goal for Valladolid.

Ivan Sanchez: 5.9/10- He did not have a great game in attack registering zero shots on goal. He created only a single chance for Valladolid and was dispossessed various number of times.

Kike Perez: 6.5/10- He was subbed on around the 62nd minute in place of Ivan Sanchez and showed strength on various occasions during counter-attacks.

Junami Latasa: 6.1/10- He came on to replace Marcos Andre in attack and did not have much of an impact.

Thibaut Courtois: 7.6/10- Early on in the game, the Belgian made a crucial save and then it was a smooth game for him as he kept the clean sheet.

Fran Garcia: 7.1/10- The Spanish left-back contributed both in defence as well as attack. He was involved in four defensive actions and won a couple of duels.

Antonio Rudiger: 7.5/10- Capped a solid defensive performance and also had two shots on goal from the corners. He was involved in six defensive actions and made five crucial clearances.

Aurelien Tchouameni: 7.6/10- Started the game as a defender and then settled as a midfielder in the second half. He had a good game orchestrating and was involved in 12 defensive actions.

Raul Asencio: 6.9/10- The Spanish midfielder had a good game maintaining a passing accuracy of 84 percent. He was solid in defence and has won more than five duels for Real Madrid.

Federico Valverde: 7.4/10- The midfielder had a good game with a passing accuracy of 89 per cent. He played as a left-back for the team when Raul Asencio was taken off.

Dani Ceballos: 7.8/10- The 28-year-old midfielder had a good game and was great at passing. He created multiple attacking opportunities and made a crucial interception for Real Madrid.

Jude Bellingham: 8.7/10- The one-two with Kylian Mbappe was perfectly executed by the English international and registered an assist.

Rodrygo: 8.1/10- The forward had a great game taking three shots on goal. He got the assist as the Brazilian cut in from the left wing and played it to Mbappe. Apart from that he also created two other attacking opportunities.

Brahim Diaz: 7.2/10- The attacking midfielder had a good game creating multiple attacking opportunities and handling the build-up for the team.

Kylian Mbappe: 9.3/10- Scored his first hat-trick for Real Madrid. He scored the first goal for Real Madrid after a one-two with Bellingham. His curling shot into the bottom corner put the visitors in front. His second goal was beautiful as he cut in and beat the goalkeeper with a low shot.
