Real Madrid have been phenomenal this season and have lost just two games across competitions. They have to deal with some major injury issues but have managed to grind out big results.
They sit atop the La Liga table and will face RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16. Los Blancos also won the Supercopa de Espana last month, beating Barcelona in the final and Atletico Madrid in the semi-final.
However, Real Madrid’s only defeats this season have come against Atletico, both at the Wanda Metropolitano. They lost against Diego Simeone’s side in La Liga in September before being eliminated from the Copa del Rey Round of 16.
Atletico Madrid, meanwhile, are third in La Liga, 10 points behind Los Blancos. They are set to face Athletic Club in the Copa del Rey semi-finals and Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.
With both teams in great form this season, the upcoming Madrid derby is set to be an engaging affair.

Prediction
Real Madrid have been excellent this season despite their injury issues. However, it could be getting a bit too tough for them, having just one available centre-back if Antonio Rudiger is deemed unfit for the Atletico clash.
Atletico, meanwhile, are themselves suffering with injuries but have won their last five games across competitions. It will be a tight derby but the home advantage should push Los Blancos towards a crucial win.
