Real Madrid 1-3 AC Milan: Player Ratings as Maignan and Reijnders star for the Italians on a memorable night at the Bernabeu

Real Madrid hosted AC Milan at the Santiago Bernabeu in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, November 5 and fell to a 3-1 defeat against the Italian side.

The visitors got off to a flying start as Malick Thiaw headed them into a 1-0 lead in the 12^th minute of the game. However, Emerson Royal conceded a penalty in the 23^rd minute and Vinicius Junior converted it with supreme composure to level the match. Some brilliant work from Rafael Leao then drew a save from Andriy Lunin, but Alvaro Morata tapped in the rebound as Milan led 2-1 at half-time.

The second half saw Real Madrid dominate possession even more as they looked to get back into the game. Carlo Ancelotti made multiple changes, but they conceded another goal in the 73^rd minute. Leao and Tijjani Reijnders combined brilliantly for Milan as the latter scored to make it 3-1. Antonio Rudiger had a late goal ruled out as Real Madrid fell to a 3-1 defeat.
