Tenure of 2013-15| Setting the foundation of success

The summer of 2013 saw the departure of the Special One from Santiago Bernabeu. Along came Don Carlo for the first time in the club. At the time, Real Madrid were waiting for years to taste European victory again.

Don Carlo’s Return to Glory: 2021- Present

Back in 2021, Perez welcomed back Don Carlo with open arms. The project this time around was rather tough given Los Blancos were going through a transitional period after the likes of Ramos and CR7 left the club. 

The return to Bernabeu was taken with both optimism and excitement from the fans as they already had a taste of Carlo’s way of approaching a game. 

While the project this time was rather different, Don Carlo showed again why he is renowned in Europe for his glory. Both balance and resilience returned to the squad with the arrival of Ancelotti again. Despite being in a tough period, Carlo took his time nurturing young talents like Vini Jr, Rodrigo, and others while still counting on the veterans Benzema, Kroos and Luka Modric.

He had taken the pressure off the youngsters and allowed them more freedom. The result? It was seen on the pitch. Both domestically and Internationally, Real Madrid once again became the force to be reckoned with.  The Italian’s second Tenure so far has been more successful than his first one. They have won the League title, UEFA Champions League 2022, Spanish Super Cup 2022, UEFA Super Cup 2022, and FIFA Club World Cup 2022. 

The 2022 Champions League Theme was arguably the most thrilling experience ever for Europe and the Real Madrid fans.
