IPL 2025: Royal Challengers Bengaluru Predicted Playing XI
The most popular IPL franchise, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, will begin their campaign for the 18th season against defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens in Kolkata in the season opener of the IPL 2025. As we all know, RCB is the most famous and fan favorite team in the IPL, with fans not only from India but also from all over the world supporting the club because of their adored player, Virat Kohli, who will also feature in the 18th edition of the event.
RCB Predicted Playing XI for IPL 2025
In the previous season, RCB made their way to the playoffs at the last moment by defeating their arch rivals CSK in an exciting thriller and got their tickets to the playoffs by qualifying at the fourth position, though they were unable to make their mark in the playoffs as Rajasthan Royals knocked them out in the Eliminator.
But this year they will be aiming to win their first IPL title as this is the 18th season of the IPL, the same number that is printed on Virat Kohli’s jersey. So fans are expecting something special from the RCB team this year. We’ve listed RCB Playing XI for IPL 2025:

8. | Bhuvneshwar Kumar | Bowler |
9. | Suyash Sharma | Bowler |
10. | Josh Hazlewood | Bowler |
11. | Yash Dayal | Bowler |
1. Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli is the batsman with most runs in IPL history, having broken numerous records that currently appear unachievable. He is also the top scorer in IPL history and is set to open for RCB’s innings again. He is the most obvious pick as an opener for this side since he possesses all of the skills and shots that have proven why Kohli is the most brilliant and successful batsman of his generation.
2. Phil Salt (wk)
Phil Salt is the new addition to the RCB roster, as he is one of the most explosive batsmen to compete in the IPL 2025, and he is eager to demonstrate his power-hitting skills while opening the innings for RCB with Virat Kohli. Salt was a member of the Kolkata Knight Riders last year.
3. Devdutt Padikkal
In this year’s auction, RCB also added outstanding left-handed batsman Devdutt Padikkal to their batting lineup, which will strengthen the middle order because Padikkal would most likely play at number three and bring more steadiness.
4 . Rajat Patiar©
RCB announced Rajat Patidar as their new captain for the 2025 IPL season. Patidar has a variety of shots and offers power in the middle order from seven to fourteen overs, and he will also be responsible for guiding the team of superstars.
5. Liam Livingstone
Liam Livingstone is one of cricket’s most explosive all-rounders, and he will represent RCB this season. The pitch in Bengaluru will suit him in the lower order, where his major responsibility will be to take charge of the bowlers in the final overs, and his spin prowess will come in handy in the middle.
6. Tim David
Australian batter Tim David is the latest addition to the RCB’s batting lineup, where he primarily bats in death overs, and the Chinnaswamy Stadium will suit his batting style as well. David was a member of the MI team last year, where he displayed his impressive batting abilities at the Wankhede Stadium. He will face similar conditions this year at RCB’s home stadium.
7. Krunal Pandya
Krunal Pandya is one of the most seasoned and clever all-rounders to join RCB this year, where his batting abilities will help him score some quick runs in the slog overs, while his bowling will play a key factor on M Chinnaswamy’s high-scoring pitch. Whereas every bowler must use strategy and technique, Krunal Pandaya is an expert at both, which would surely strengthen the RCB’s bowling lineup.
8. Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Bhuvneshwar Kumar is one of the RCB’s best picks in this year’s auction because they released Mohammad Siraj from the squad and really need one primary pacer this season, thus Bhuvi is the right alternative for them, and his expertise and variety will help RCB in the IPL 2025 adventure.
9. Suyash Sharma
Suyash Sharma, a skilled and young leg-spinner, has joined RCB’s bowling lineup and will be a valuable addition to the team’s spin department. The Pandya-Sharma spin combination will be interesting to witness in the upcoming IPL 2025.
10. Josh Hazlewood
Josh Hazlewood possesses the pace, accurate line, and length required to limit the batsman’s ability to score runs on Chinnaswamy’s horror pitch.
11. Yash Dayal
Yash Dayal, the IPL 2024 hero for RCB, helped his team qualify for the knockout rounds; his wicket-taking abilities and ability to bowl under pressure make him an ideal contender for RCB.
