Will Pau Cubarsi and Raphinha start against Atletico in the Copa del Rey semi-final?
FC Barcelona will return to action in the second leg semi-final of the Copa del Rey against Atlético Madrid. The Catalan Giants will take a trip to the Spanish capital after a 4-4 draw in the first leg. This will be the fourth clash between the two sides in the ongoing season. Both sides have won a game each, while one match witnessed an eight-goal thriller end in a stalemate.
Hansi Flick’s side pulled off a dominating win over Atletico Madrid in their most recent meeting. The Blaugrana went on to win the game 4-2 despite going 0-2 down. Barcelona are the only team not to have lost a game in 2025 across Europe, and they will be keen to maintain that rhythm. The visitors will be boosted by the inclusion of their star duo of Pau Cubarsi and Raphinha heading into the second leg.
News on Cubarsi and Raphinha’s inclusion in the squad
The Catalan giants will be more than happy to welcome back Pau Cubarsi and Raphinha into the matchday squad after a hectic international break. While Raphinha rested in both of Barcelona’s last two games, Cubarsi got a few minutes under his belt in the last game against Girona.
