Hartman Faces Season-Ending Injury: Blow to Feyenoord and Dutch National Team for Euro 2024
The club has confirmed that Feyenoord’s Quilindschy Hartman is set to miss the remainder of the season due to a knee injury.
Hartman Injury Deals Massive Blow to Dutch Football Team
The Dutch International left-back sustained the injury during Feyenoord’s recent 4-2 victory over Utrecht and will consequently be sidelined for the rest of the campaign. This unfortunate setback means Hartman will be absent from Feyenoord’s title challenge as well as the KNVB Cup final.
Moreover, the injury deals a significant blow to Ronald Koeman’s plans for the upcoming European Championships (Euro 2024) as Hartman was a likely starter in the Dutch squad.
The severity of the injury casts doubt on his availability for the tournament in Germany scheduled to commence on June 14.
The injury occurred during Sunday’s match against FC Utrecht when Hartman attempted to thwart a scoring opportunity resulting in a collision with Utrecht’s Niklas Vesterlund.
Feyenoord has disclosed that Hartman faces an extended period of recovery indicating a lengthy absence from the pitch.

Feyenoord Manager on Hartman’s Injury
Hartman 22 years old has represented the Dutch national team on four occasions thus far. Feyenoord coach Arne Slot expressed concern over the injury, particularly noting Hartman’s history with cruciate ligament issues.
Slot emphasized the significance of the injury highlighting Hartman’s previous struggles during his time with Feyenoord’s under-21 team.
“I previously feared a serious injury to Calvin Stengs, but that turned out not to be so bad in the end. We can only hope that that is the case again,” Slot told ESPN.
“What many people may not know is that Hartman is a player with a cruciate ligament history. When he played for Feyenoord under 21, he could not join us for a long time because he returned from an injury.”
Hartman’s injury comes after his recent return to action having missed international matches against Scotland and Germany due to a prior injury.
Feyenoord and Dutch football fans alike will undoubtedly lament the absence of the talented left-back as they navigate the challenges ahead without his presence on the field.
