PSG vs Dortmund Player Ratings: Kylian Mbappe Flops, Dembele Hearts, and Mats Hummels Shines
Borussia Dortmund keep a clean sheet over two legs against PSG.

Mats Hummels scored the solitary goal in the 50th minute with a header as Borussia Dortmund defeated PSG 1-0 at Parc des Princes. They advance to the UEFA Champions League final with a 2-0 aggregate win. While PSG missed a handful of chances, Dortmund showed their resilience at the back to secure a historic result. The Black and Yellow are now one-half for the final at Wembley.

Gianluigi Donnarumma– 6.5: Made a good save off Karim Adeyemi in the first half. The Italian, however, was caught off guard from a set-piece yet again when Mats Hummels headed home in the second half.
Achraf Hakimi– 7: Had a hard time keeping up with Adeyemi, just as he did in the first leg. The Moroccan, however, had a few promising bursts up the field.
Marquinhos– 7: Led his team well and played the ball out efficiently from the defense. Also showed his experience in handling Adeyemi and Fullkrug.
Lucas Beraldo– 7: Was solid throughout the game and showed a cool head in playing the ball up the pitch.
Nuno Mendes– 6.5: Mendes was once again left a bit bamboozled by Jadon Sancho and also didn’t do the best job at keeping Julian Ryerson at bay. Apart from a few flashes, Mendes didn’t do a great job attackingly.
Warren Zaire-Emery– 6.5: The youngster showed his talent on a few occasions. However, he wasn’t able to establish a persistence dominant presence in the middle of the park.
Vitinha– 7.5: Was a notable presence in the PSG midfield. The Portuguese tried a few long-range efforts as well. However, shooting boots were missing for Vitinha.
Fabian Ruiz– 6.5: Ruiz often held the ball for too long and slowed down PSG’s attacks in instances where they had the chance to use Kylian Mbappe’s pace.
Ousmane Dembele– 7: Was a livewire on the right-hand side for PSG and tried a few efforts on goal as well. The Frenchman also earned his team a free-kick right on the edge of the Dortmund penalty area.
Goncalo Ramos– 6.5: Apart from a turn and shot in the first half, didn’t have much of an impact. He was subbed off in the second half. The Portuguese, despite a strong start to the match, failed to make any real impact.
Kylian Mbappe– 7: Did well in the left-hand side and was on the heart of most of his team’s attacking moves. However. a player of his stature was relied to make much more of an impact.

Gregor Kobel– 7: Stayed calm under pressure situations and was also composed on the ball in a game of such high magnitude.
Julian Ryerson– 8: Was a constant threat on the right-hand side in the first half. His long throws caused PSG problems. Ryerson also had a volleyed effort that whistled past Donnarumma’s post.
Mats Hummels– 8: A cool performance from a real veteran of the game. Scored a headed goal from the corner as well, showcasing his highly-respected aerial prowess.
Nico Schloterbeck– 8: Solid at the back yet again and was precise with his passing to get the ball out of the backline.
Ian Maatsen– 7.5: Showed his quality on the left. Also played a few tight one-twos with Brandt to get around the likes of Dembele and Hakimi.
Emre Can– 7: A veteran’s display. Helped Dortmund keep hold of the ball very well and often covered for his lack of technicality with work ethic.
Marcel Sabitzer– 7.5: The Austrian once again showed why he is such a valued player for Dortmund. An engine in the midfield who also looked to cause problems inside the PSG penalty area when he had the freedom to move forward.
Karim Adeyemi– 7.5: His pace caused the Parisians trouble. Had a spectacular solo run in the first half which was magnificently kept out by Donnarumma.
Julian Brandt– 7.5: Yet another solid display from the attacking midfielder. Carried the ball up the field, switched sides, distributed it well, and orchestrated Dortmund’s attacks to great effect.
Jadon Sancho– 7: Certainly not a performance as good as he had in the first leg. Sancho, however, was lively and caused Mendes and the entire PSG defense problem with his mazy skills.
Nicklas Fullkrug– 7: Used his physicality well inside the PSG area and tried to set his teammates up. Could have done better had Dortmund fed him with better aerial service.
