Led by the newly assigned manager Arne Slot, the Reds are sitting with 36 points. They have won 11 out of their 15 league games. The only loss came against Nottingham Forest where the Merseyside Red endured a 0-1 loss. While the Reds are at the top, they have won against all the top sides this season including a 2-0 win over Pep Guardiola’s Man City.
The Sky Blues are dropped to 5th, Sitting at 27 points, Manchester City has won 8 out of their 16 league games and drew 2 matches while already suffering five Premier League defeats in this term. Consistency and Manchester City always come in the same sentence. It is unexpected to see the defending champions in the current state or can they possibly turn the tables from now onwards?
Nottingham Forrest has been impressive sitting in fourth with 28 points in 16 games. Nottingham Forest is a recent example. The two-time Champions League winner club has recently tasted a sweet victory against the table topper Liverpool.
At number 9th with 24 points, we have Brighton & Hove, they were the favourites for a top-four finish this year. Arsenal is standing third, after being so close the last couple of seasons with 30 points in 16 games. So far they are looking good, winning 8 of their 16 matches with 6 games drawn and two defeats. Can Arteta give the Gunners the final push that finally gets them the trophy?

How does the middle of the Premier League Table this season look so far?
Winning six out of their 16 matches and drawing twice, is less than mediocre performance from Spurs so far. And it is something that is simply not acceptable from Ange, who suffers from constant criticism by the media. Brentford with as many 23 points with the latter having won and lost as many games as Tottenham Hotspur.
Aston Villa! It’s not about how bad you fall, it’s about how high you get back up. The introduction of Ollie Watkins seems to liven up the squad. The Lions are at the 7th of the table right now and they aren’t looking in great shape. Will they be able to regain their momentum or discipline be an issue for the team again this season?
A ray of hope emerged for the Red Devils too with the arrival of Ruben Amorim, starting in 13th place. They have 22 points in 16 games after a recent 4-0 triumph against Everton and the most recent Manchester Derby 2-0 victory over Pep Guardiola’s Champions side at Etihad Stadium.
Amorim has now taken charge of United following the sacking of Erik ten Hag following the recent 2-1 defeat to West Ham United and the 3-0 win over Leicester City on Sunday. While they are not competing for the top 4 positions as of now, they are known to give the biggest upsets in the league.
The relegation battle
Prior to the season, everyone believed Ipswitch town, who are a recent introduction to the League, would see their way out at the end of the season along with the Toffees and Southampton.
With Crystal Palace’s bad start and only a few matches played, it is still early to say what’s what. But one thing is for sure, the battle of relegation will be between Wolves, Ipswitch Town, Crystal Palace, Everton, Southampton, and Leicester City.
November was all about football. And this year it has gotten bigger. More matches and more fun. Feast your eyes as we resume the club competitions in November. Will your favourite team maintain good performance? Only time will tell.
