With a playmaking record unprecedented since moving to Manchester City, KDB started the 2023/24 campaign as the one to beat in the race for most goals created in England’s top flight. However, a major hamstring injury on opening day dashed all hopes.
Liverpool’s Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, is also in the race for Premier League assists this season, as both he and Trent Alexander-Arnold have often been scintillating providers.
Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes is eager for a piece of the prize, while Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard have also registered high numbers of assists as Arsenal aim for the title once more.
With all the big names slowly returning, the surprise leaders at the top are Ollie Watkins, who is both scoring and providing for Aston Villa, along with Pascal Groß and Kieran Trippier. The Brighton player from Germany has been the orchestrator for the Seagulls, while the English full-back has made a strong presence for Newcastle.

This season has shown that there is nothing the 28-year-old cannot do. He stands alone as the central figure for everything good in front of goal.
2. Pascal Groß | Brighton & Hove Albion | 10 assists
Aging like fine wine, the versatile player has revived his career in 2022 under Roberto De Zerbi. He can operate anywhere on the field, and there’s no doubt he is pulling the right strings for Brighton this season. In 24 games, he has managed to be a key contributor to 10 goals for his side.
