Pedri praises new teammate following a dramatic comeback against Rayo Vallecano
Barcelona topped the La Liga table with a perfect nine-point collection after winning their first three games. Lately, the Catalans made a dramatic comeback against the capital-based Rayo Vallecano thanks to Pedri and Dani Olmo’s goal.
Olmo, who had his first Barcelona appearance this season, didn’t even start the match as he came in the second half to replace Ferran Torres. The former RB Leipzig winger didn’t need much adaptation to set his feet on the ground as if he had already played for the team in such a long time.

After the match, Pedri couldn’t hide his relief after Barcelona won the game to keep their perfect run. Furthermore, the midfielder praised his new teammate Olmo whom he dubbed as the game changer.
“What we’ve seen from the outside is that Olmo gives us a lot of peace of mind,” Pedri said via Barca News Network. “He plays with one or two touches, and when he has to turn, he turns. He understands football very well and he’s going to help us a lot.”
A victory over Vallecano put Barcelona two points clear of the closest competitor Villareal who had two wins and a draw. It is likely for Barca to stay on top as they are scheduled to face Real Valladolid at home tomorrow.
