One major obstacle blocking Victor Lindelof’s move to Fiorentina
Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof has been deemed surplus following the arrival of Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt in this summer transfer window. The Sweden international has dropped way down the pecking order and will be United’s fifth-choice centre-back in the current campaign.
Lindelof has attracted interest from Serie A outfit Fiorentina, who are keen to land the Swede this summer, but his salary is believed to be a major stumbling block behind his proposed move.
Fiorentina will only make a move for the 30-year-old if United agree to pay Lindelof a compensation package to break his contract.
