OFFICIAL: Mike Penders has completed his permanent move to Chelsea

Chelsea have welcomed their eighth goalkeeper to the squad after 19-year-old Mike Penders has completed a £17million move to Stamford Bridge. He will stay with Belgian side Genk for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.

The young goalkeeper is expected to join Chelsea next summer and has signed an eight-year contract with the West London giants. Pender has represented the Belgian national team up to under-19 level.

The 19-year-old broke into the Genk first-team under Thorsten Fink and will continue his development with the Belgian Pro League side for one more season.
