Official: Marcus Rashford moves to Aston Villa on loan

The English International, Marcus Rashford has joined Aston Villa on loan from Manchester United on a loan deal and signed a contract until the end of the 2024/25 season. The West Midland club have unveiled Rashford as their new signing ahead of the deadline day and the United’s outcast begins a fresh chapter at Villa Park.

Reportedly, the winger’s weighty salary will be covered by Aston Villa up to a minimum of 70% and the deal doesn’t include a loan fee. Unai Emery’s side will have the option to buy the 27-year-old permanently in the summer for £40 million.

“I would like to thank Manchester United and Aston Villa for making this loan deal happen.”, Rashford wrote on Instagram, “I was lucky to have a few clubs approach me but Aston Villa was an easy decision.”

The Englishmen added, “I really admire the way that Aston Villa have been playing this season and the manager’s ambitions. I just want to play football and am excited to get started. I wish everyone at Manchester United all the best for the rest of the season.”
