Official: Juventus signs Renato Veiga from Chelsea on Loan

The Portuguese defender Renato Veiga has joined the Serie A Giants on loan until the end of the 2024/25 season from Premier League side Chelsea, as the Italian club have officially announced his arrival in Turin.

It is reported that Juventus will pay €4+1.5 million as a loan fee for Viega, the 21-year-old had recently signed for the Blues from Swiss club FC Basel in the summer and made 18 appearances for the English club, while also scoring 2 goals.

Viega is a versatile defender, who prominently plays as a left-back and is comfortable in playing as a centre-back. At Juventus, he will be earning regular game time and could be tasked with centre-back responsibilities under Thiago Motta.
