OFFICIAL: Julian Araujo confirms his permanent move to Bournemouth

The U.S.-born defender has completed his permanent move to Bournemouth in a deal worth €10 million. Julian Araujo arrived at Camp Nou from LA Galaxy last summer and was immediately loaned out to Los Palmas where he made 25 league appearances.

The 23-year-old defender has never made a competitive appearance for Barcelona and he was unable to secure a spot in Flick’s plans for the upcoming campaign. Araujo has penned a five-year contract with Bournemouth.

“FC Barcelona and AFC Bournemouth have reached an agreement for the transfer of Julián Araujo to the English club for 10 million euros.

“FC Barcelona publicly expresses its gratitude to Araujo for his dedication and commitment and wishes him every success in the future.”
