OFFICIAL: Eddie Nketiah secures a permanent move to Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace have confirmed the signing of Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah in a deal worth in the region of £30 million and will pen a five-year contract. The homegrown striker was expected to join Marseille earlier this summer but the French club were reluctant to meet Arsenal’s asking price.
A move to Selhurst Park would offer Nketiah more guaranteed minutes in the first-team as he struggled to become Arteta’s preferred choice in the last few seasons. The 25-year-old has scored 38 goals in 168 appearances for the North London club.
“It’s amazing to sign for Crystal Palace — I’m excited to get going,” Nketiah said as part of Crystal Palace’s announcement. “Every time I come back to South London, it always puts a smile on my face, so it’s good to be back home.”
