Official: Chelsea star left-back Ben Chilwell leaves on loan to join Cry Palace

The English International Ben Chilwell has joined fellow Premier League side Crystal Palace from Chelsea after missing action over the course of the initial half of the 2024/25 season. He will be playing for the Eagles for the remaining half of the ongoing campaign.

The former Chelsea vice-captain failed to make the cut for the club’s Premier League squad under newly appointed Italian head coach Enzo Maresca, who voiced Chilwell is not part of his plans and should secure a move away from Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2024.

“Crystal Palace are delighted to confirm the signing of Ben Chilwell on loan from Chelsea,” Palace announced the arrival of the 28-year-old defender at Selhurst Park.

Since moving to Stamford Bridge in the Summer window of 2020 from Leicester City, the Englishman has made 107 appearances for Chelsea and lifted the highly coveted UEFA Champions League in the 2020/21 season.
