North Korea gears up to host the Asian champions Qatar in their second Group A fixture of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Asian Qualifiers third round at a neutral venue in Laos at New Laos National Stadium. As both sides look to bounce back from defeats in their respective first match in the AFC qualifiers.

North Koreans endured to tough start to the Qualification campaign suffering a 1-0 away loss to Uzbekistan, despite their commendable efforts against stronger opposition in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. 

Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates pulled off a major upset against the AFC Asian Cup holders Qatar in their backyard, beating with a 3-1 scoreline at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium in Qatar.

The North Korean football team have no fresh injury concerns from their previous match. It means head coach Yong-nam Sin will have an entire pool of key players with full fitness to line up against the overpowered Qatari side.

North Korea vs Qatar Prediction

Korea DPR are presently ranked 110th on the FIFA ranking, however, their quality is much superior to the merits. They have previously managed to Qualify for the FIFA World Cup twice in 1966 and 2010 despite a lack of infrastructure they have proven their credentials regarded their resilient mentality.
