Newcastle United sign Miodrag Pivas from Jedinstvo

Newcastle United have added Serbian defender Miodrag Pivas to their squad. The 19-year-old have joined from Jedinstvo after helping them gain promotion to the Serbian Super Liga.

In his first interview with the club’s official website, the teenager said:

“It’s absolutely unbelievable to join such a big club. I see the young players have developed very well here and I would like to do the same – to develop and get into Newcastle’s first team. I’m very excited and I can’t wait to begin.”

Pivas becomes the 5th signing by Newcastle United this summer as they continue to bolster the squad for Eddie Howe. The teenager could make his debut for the club when they face Hull City in a pre-season friendly on 27th July.
