New York City FC scored a last-minute goal to secure a point and spoil the Lionel Messi-centric party at Yankee Stadium. They dominated from the beginning of the game as Inter Miami struggled to get their footing in the game but themselves behind after Leonardo Campana opened the scoring for the Herons. The visitors kept knocking on the door until they found their way out.
