“Never say no” – Jose Mourinho refuses to rule out return
Jose Mourinho has revealed that he has no offers on his table since the AS Roma sacking. The Portuguese manager is eyeing a return to the dugout in the summer and is not ruling out any club.
The legendary manager was at the Moto GP’s Portuguese Grand Prix this weekend when he was quizzed by the reporters of his next club. He was quick to state that there were no offers right now, but is still looking forward to taking over at a club in the summer.
He said on managing a club in Portugal:
“Zero news. I don’t have a club, I’m free. But I want to work, in the summer I want to work. Never say no, especially in football. My life is football. I can train anywhere and I have no problems.”
Mourinho was at the F1 Grand Prix in Saudi Arabia earlier this month and was also quizzed on the same topic. He claimed that he was keen on getting back and was not in a mood to take rest.

He said:
“I’m not in a rest, I want to work. I want to work but I just don’t want to have the wrong decision. I have to wait for the right one, the one that motivates me. But if I could work tomorrow I would work tomorrow. I hope so, I want to. You know Roma was great because we had two European finals in two years and that’s hard at a club that never did it. Now I have to wait for the right opportunity. I want to work tomorrow if possible, but I don’t want to make the wrong decision.”
Jose Mourinho was sacked by AS Roma in January after a poor run of form. The manager was immediately linked with Chelsea and Manchester United as their current managers were under pressure.

Chelsea told to stay clear of Jose Mourinho
Stephen Warnock sent a message to Chelsea, urging them to stay clear of Jose Mourinho as appointing the manager would be a mistake. The former Liverpool defender has stated that the manager is not the right fit for the current squad.
He said on Sky Sports:
“For me, no, no. You have to move on from it. I think to go back for a third spell would be incredible for him from a nostalgic point of view, but I don’t think it’s the right fit. That period of history for Chelsea is gone, and you have to look forward. Would his style of management work on a squad like that? It might do. It might be something that galvanises the squad. But I still think you’ve to give Pochettino the opportunity.”
Jose Mourinho managed Chelsea twice, once from 2004 to 2007 and then from 2013 to 2015. He won 124 of his 185 matches in the first stint and then managed 80 from his 136 games after his return.
