Top 10 Cricketers with Most Ducks in IPL
When we talk about the Indian Premier League (IPL), the first thing that comes to our mind is the fast-paced game, whether it’s about batting or bowling. IPL is the richest cricket league in the world and is played in the T20 format, which makes it obvious for the players to do their job fast as the format doesn’t give you much time to act to the situations. However, when it comes to batters while trying to bat fast and get quick runs, they often lose their wickets without even scoring a single run. And when a batter gets out on the very first ball he faces, we call it a ‘Golden Duck’. On the other hand, if a batter gets out on zero but has played more than one delivery, then it’s known as a ‘Duck’.
IPL has seen many great players honouring the league with their magnificent performances over the years. There are many players who have scored quick half-centuries or centuries and etched their names in the history books. The record for the fastest half-century in the history of IPL is under the name of Indian youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal who smashed a fifty off just 13 balls against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2023.
On the other hand, the record for the fastest century in the history of IPL is under the name of former West Indies legend and Universe Boss Chris Gayle. The left-handed powerhouse smashed a century off just 30 deliveries in 2013 during a clash against Pune Warriors. But there are some big names who are on the list of an unwanted record of having the most ducks in IPL history. On that note, let’s take a look at the top 10 players with the most golden ducks in IPL.
