Mikel Arteta hints Arsenal won’t sign any new strikers this summer
The Gunners were reportedly in the market for a few attacking reinforcements and looked set to bolster their forward line amid Eddie Nketiah’s move towards the exit door in this transfer window.
Arsenal have been heavily linked with Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres, Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez and Brighton & Hove Albion’s Evan Ferguson, but manager Mikel Arteta reveals that the club might not sign any new striker this summer.
“I have faith in Kai Havertz, we have faith in Gabriel Jesus,” Arteta told talkSPORT. “Leandro [Trossard] has played in that position.
“So we have different qualities in there and the best thing we can do is trust the players that we have and try to improve them. They are so good and so willing and that’s what we focus on.”
