Miguel Almiron joins Atlanta United from Newcastle United for $12 million

The Paraguay International, Miguel Almiron is set to rejoin Major League Soccer (MLS) side Atlanta United from Premier League club Newcastle United confirms transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Reportedly, the 30-year-old winger has agreed to sign four and half-year contract to reunite with his former club in the stateside for a transfer worth $12 million deal. He will join the Atlanta United squad next week after bidding farewell to Newcastle United fans.

Almiron joined the Magpies in 2019 from Atlanta United for a $26 million move and enjoyed a successful spell at St James Park, he has amassed 223 appearances while netting 30 goals and provided 12 assists for the English outfit in all competitions.
