Miguel Almiron: Early Life and Family
Miguel Almiron was born on February 10, 1994, in Asuncion, the capital city of Paraguay, into a humble family to Miguel Almirón Sr. and Ana Ruiz. He came from a poor background, and making it big into football was one of the only ways to improve his life. His talent in the sport was evident early on as the country had a strong culture for the sport, and despite his family being working-class, his father encouraged him to develop his skills and pursue a football career.
His older brother Roberto Almiron played football but could not play professionally. However, his influence helped young Miguel carve his path as he began his youth career in local clubs in Asuncion before joining the youth academy of Club Atletico Lanus in Argentina. Moving away from him was not easy; he remembered when seven of his family members slept in just three bedrooms. He shared a bed with his mother till he was 16, and other factors motivated him not to give up and shine.
