He has started to break records this season. Dowman — aged 14 years, eight months, and 19 days — scored Arsenal Under-18s’ only goal in a 4-1 defeat to Atalanta U18s, becoming the competition’s youngest goalscorer since its inception in 2013.

At just 14, he also started training with the first team on multiple occasions.

Dowman his debut for the England Under-17s in September and scored in a 5-0 victory over Mexico. He is now expected to continue representing the Three Lions, with a hope of making the first XI of the national side as early as possible.

Dowman is often referred as the “English Kaka.” He is a smooth, silky operator who has the fearlessness to take on any player that he wishes. From the match footage, Dowman usually occupies the “10” position quite often, playing in that creative midfielder role. Dowman is also physically strong and often is able to win the duels against players who are much stronger than him, despite being much younger than them.
