Marseille interested in signing Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah
The French giants are plotting a summer move for Arsenal academy graduate Eddie Nketiah this summer. Marseille are keen on reinforcing their forward line and have set their eyes on the Arsenal forward.
The 25-year-old striker was given the opportunity to lead the Arsenal attack by Mikel Arteta but the Englishman has struggled to live up to the expectations at the Emirates.
Nketiah has managed only 19 league goals out of 116 appearances in the Premier League. He still has three more years left on his contract and Arsenal have set a £50 million price tag for the unreliable forward.
The striker has failed to capitalise on the opportunities given to him and will go further down the pecking order if a new forward arrives this summer.
Does Marseille hold a strong interest in Eddie Nketiah?
Premier League giants such as Fulham, Brentford, and West Ham are reportedly keeping tabs on the 25-year-old Arsenal forward. Few reports suggest that Marseille is viewed as a valuable addition to the squad under new manager Roberto De Zerbi.
They are showing the most interest in the England international who has three years left on his contract. Arsenal are holding out a fee in the region of £50 million for Eddie Nketiah but will likely let him leave for a reasonable price.
The board understands that setting a realistic price for the Arsenal academy graduate would only facilitate the move as soon as possible. Marseille have already made their contact with the player’s entourage.
