Marcus Rashford offers helping hand to YouTuber who bought his wrecked Rolls Royce

Few players have thrived as Marcus Rashford has over the last few years at Manchester United with the Red Devils struggling to find a superstar to lead their line over the last few years. He finished last term as one of the team’s best players and is currently their fourth-highest goal-scorer this season. But even then, Rashford has been the target of several critics for his off-field actions including crashing his car.

The 26-year-old star was involved in a collision in a Rolls Royce in September of 2023 and neither Rashford or the other driver, an elderly woman, were hurt. However, the £700,000 car was wrecked beyond repair and it was then sold at auction by Rashford, and bought by a YouTuber. The streamer, Mat Armstrong, bought the car at auction for £184,000 and posted a viral video detailing the buy.

Rashford reaches out to help YouTuber Mat Armstrong restore his former car

The viral video went on to hit over five million views and, reportedly, after hearing about the film, Rashford and his team reached out to Armstrong and offered to help out restoring the car. The English international team wrote to the YouTuber and sent over bits and pieces of the car they had to help out with the restoration.

“Hi, I deal with all of the cars from Marcus, I believe we still have a few bits from the car you might need. We might have the v5 spare key and a couple more bits from when the car was recovered.  We also have the ghost code and tracker information if you want us to get them to you?” read the messages sent by Rashford’s team reported in the Daily Mail.

Armstrong thanks Rashford and his team for all their help

The items turned out to be a big help for the YouTuber as he thanked Rashford and his team for all his help in another video. The YouTuber also revealed, in the video, that he plans to raffle off a signed wing of the car with all proceeds going to the FareShare foodbank charity.

“I want to say thanks for Rashford’s team for giving us all of this because they didn’t have to. It saved us so much money,” Armstrong said, reported the Daily Mail.
