Manchester United want to hijack move for Chelsea target Ivan Toney

Man Utd reportedly held initial conversations over a possible move for Chelsea striker Ivan Toney in the final days of the summer transfer window. Chelsea are reportedly leading the race for the 28-year-old striker after he rejected a move to Saudi Arabia earlier this week.

Brentford are reportedly seeking less than the £50m valuation of Toney, who has less than 12 months remaining on his contract. If Toney doesn’t sanction an exit, Brentford will run the risk of losing him for free next summer.

Ivan Toney was left out of the Bees’ first two games of the Premier League campaign.
