Premier League Giants Manchester United have just started to put their season on the right track under the Dutch manager Erik ten Hag. The Red Devils currently sit on the sixth spot in the 2023-2024 Premier League table with 47 points to their name in the 28 matches played so far. United registered a 2-0 win over Everton in their last league outing.
The Old-Trafford-based side topped it up with a 4-3 win over rivals Liverpool in the FA Cup quarterfinal to book a spot in the competition’s semifinal to be held at London’s Wembley Stadium. Manchester United have declared that they will be coming up against Scottish Premiership side Rangers in the approaching summer pre-season period. On the contrary, if the Red Devils are considered England’s most elite club, Rangers are pretty much acknowledged by the same status as far as Scotland’s football heritage goes.
The match between United and Rangers is scheduled to be held in Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland. The venue for the game will be Murrayfield Stadium. July 20 has been currently labelled as the date for this pre-season friendly fixture between the two clubs.

While Manchester United are pretty much in the race for the Champions League spots this season, Rangers are currently sitting in the second position in this season’s SPL table with 70 points to their name. They are just one point behind the Scottish league leaders Celtic who have 71 points to their tally.
