Manchester United new signings Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui, completing “main part” of medical tests
Manchester United’s new signings Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui, and right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka are completing the “main part” of the medical tests right now, as per revered journalist Fabrizio Romano. Announcing the new signings is only a matter of time now. The medicals are happening at Carrington.
The Red Devils made a 60 million euros plus deal with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich to secure the two stars for their club. The deals are just moments away from being official, as they are pending formal medical completions only.
The Erik ten Hag coached side has been busy this transfer window, with big arrivals and departures. The side have officially announced the signings of Leny Yoro, Joshua Zirkzee, and two more prospects. Now, once the medicals are completed successfully, de Ligt and Mazraoui will also get the green signal.
Matthijs de Ligt has been exceptional for Bayern Munich in 2023-24. The 25-year-old Dutch defender played in 22 Bundesliga and six Champions League games last season. Ten Hag will be expecting similar consistency from him when he pairs up with Harry Maguire.
Noussair Mazraoui, the Moroccan stopper is also a valuable addition for the Red Devils. Though he is not expected to be a regular in the starting XI, he can surely be the best substitute for the defenders having a bad day.
Another defender, Aaron Wan-Bissaka is also having his medicals right now. The side-back has been an integral part of the side since 2019, and the arrival of these three defenders will raise Manchester United’s hopes when they face Fulham in the EPL 2024-25 opener later this week.
