Erik ten Hag comments reveal that Garnacho will face no disciplinary action

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag feels Alejandro Garnacho has a ‘lot to learn’ following a recent controversy involving the player. The Argentine international liked two posts on social media which appeared to criticize Ten Hag’s decision to sub him off in their 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.

Garnacho was having a poor outing at the Vitality Stadium and was hooked off at the break when United were trailing 2-1 in the match. He seemingly wasn’t happy with the decision, and after the match, liked two posts which criticized his substitution.

Following a backlash, the 19-year-old apologized for his actions and will face no disciplinary action, but Ten Hag had some words for him at their recent press conference. He said:

“Alejandro is a young player. He has to learn a lot. He has apologised for it and we move on.”

Garnacho is the latest player to have faced disciplinary issue with Ten Hag. The Dutchman has previously faced a similar issue with Jadon Sancho, who criticized him on social media and refused to apologize, paving the way for his loan move to Borussia Dortmund.

Ten Hag also condemned Marcus Rashford for missing a training after being spotted at a nightclub just the night before.
