Manchester City 3-2 Fulham Player Ratings as Mateo Kovacic’s braces secure three points for the Cityzens

Mateo Kovacic netted two goals to fire Manchester City to their fifth victory in seven games. The game was entertaining as Manchester City defeated Fulham with a score line of 3-2 in the Etihad stadium. This win brought them just one point away from league leaders Liverpool.

City dominated the possession early on but Fulham slowly grew into the game and scored the first goal with the help of Andres Periera in the 26th minute. Fulham attacker Raul Jimenez assisted the goal with a brilliant back-heal. Six minutes later Kovacic equalised for City after Fulham failed to clear a corner and the ball fell to Kovacic, who took one touch before firing it in. The midfielder scored his second just after the second half started as he latched onto a pass from Jack Grealish and rifled home from the edge of the area.

Substitute Jeremy Doku gave City a two goal lead but that was short lived as Rodrigo Munoz pulled one back for the visitors in the 88th minute.
