Manchester City could trigger Eberechi Eze’s release clause

Julian Alvarez has completed a move to Atletico Madrid in a €95m transfer, which gives Man City a huge profit compared to the £14m they paid two years back for the Argentine international. The Cityzens could now make a move for their long-term target Eberechi Eze of Crystal Palace.

The English winger has been on the radar of Pep Guardiola for quite sometime now with reports suggesting that City had a last-minute proposal turned down by the Eagles last summer. Palace would be reluctant to lose Eze after already losing Michael Olise to Bayern Munich this summer.

But, City will come knocking for the highly-rated winger and are reportedly willing to fork out an upfront fee of £60million. Eze registered 11 goals and six assists for the Eagles last season, which earned him a place in England’s squad for Euro 2024.

Man City would definitely head into the market to sign an attacking player before the start of the Premier League campaign.
