Leny Yoro
United’s new £59 million signing fractured his metatarsal in a pre-season game against Arsenal and has been ruled out for three months. The 18-year-old’s prolonged absence from the first-team means Harry Maguire or Victor Lindelöf will not be sold this summer. Last week, Yoro was seen using crutches and wearing a protective boot on his left foot.
Ramsus Hojlund
The Danish forward will also be sidelined for the next three to four weeks and will miss the start of the 2024/25 campaign. Hojlund who scored a goal against the Gunners suffered a hamstring injury.
Antony
The Brazilian who struggled to impress in the past 12 months is currently nursing an unspecified injury after he came off with a knock in the pre-season game against Arsenal. His availability in the Community Shield is a serious doubt as Ten Hag is still waiting to know the extent of his injury.
Tyrel Malacia
The 24-year-old Dutch defender has not played for Manchester United since May 2023 due to a knee injury that required two surgeries to correct and missed the entirety of the 2023/24 campaign. After playing 38 games in his debut campaign for the Red Devils, his second year at United without a single appearance.
