Man Utd not ready to meet PSG’s asking price for Manuel Ugarte
The Red Devils are in the market for a defensive midfielder amid growing concerns over Casemiro and Scott McTominay’s future ahead of the 2024/25 season. Uruguay’s Manuel Ugarte has emerged as a top midfield target for Erik ten Hag this summer.
PSG are reportedly demanding €70m for the South American midfielder, but United are not ready to pay anywhere close to that amount, even though he has four years remaining on his contract.
Instead, United are willing to sign him on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy next summer. The 23-year-old midfielder has reportedly agreed over personal terms with the Red Devils and is extremely excited at the prospect of playing at Old Trafford.
