Man Utd could revive their interest in Frenkie de Jong

Manchester United could reignite their interest in Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong, who has been linked with the English club since Erik ten Hag’s arrival in the 2022 summer window. Barcelona are reportedly open to listening offers for the Dutch international.

The Catalan giants are considering offloading him in this summer window and want over €60 million for his services. De Jong has only two years left on his Barcelona contract and is the highest-paid player in the Spanish club. His departure would free up a significant amount of space on their wage bill.

Barcelona are desperately trying to raise funds for new players in this summer window and the club wants to recoup as much of their £64m they spent in 2019.
