Man Utd considering a transfer for Evan Ferguson

The Red Devils are weighing up a move for Brighton defender Evan Ferguson, who is reportedly valued at £50million this summer. United reportedly had a long-standing interest in the Republic of Ireland forward, who has also garnered plenty of interest from Chelsea.

The 19-year-old striker struggled for form and fitness and bagged only six goals last season. Despite his form, Ferguson has developed into one of the sought-after forwards in the Premier League and United’s new sporting director Dan Ashworth is familiar with the player’s abilities.

But, a transfer fee in the north of £50 million seems quite a lot for the 19-year-old striker whose exponential rise was hindered last season through injury.
