Pep Guardiola Worries as Key Players Injured Before Man City vs Arsenal

The Man City vs Arsenal fixture can prove to be a turning point for the 2023-2024 Premier League title race. Arsenal missed out on winning the league by the slightest of margins in the previous season as City pipped them in the title race. However, if this time around the Gunners manage to beat the reigning champions, they will create a four-point gap between themselves and City at the top of the table.

Man City vs Arsenal: The reigning champions suffer injury blows

Man City are likely to miss on the services of defender John Stones when they come up against Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium on March 31. The player suffered a thigh issue just nine minutes into England’s international friendly against Belgium. Stones had to be taken off the pitch as he looked in quite discomfort. The England international wasn’t spotted at City’s training ground in their preparation for the Gunners.

On the other hand, English defender Kyle Walker could also miss out on the title-defining Man City vs Arsenal clash on Sunday. Walker suffered a hamstring blow in England’s friendly against Brazil which was played at London’s Wembley Stadium. He lasted for just about 20 minutes in that match before being sidelined due to injury. Kyle Walker was also reportedly missing from Man City training before the Arsenal match.

Players returning to training for Man City as they gear up for Arsenal

As per the recent reports some of the important players having injury concerns returned to the training for Manchester City as they look to prepare well for Arsenal. This will ease the pressure on the club’s manager Pep Guardiola as it will provide him the options to tinker around a bit more with his strategies. The returning players spotted at the club’s training ground were – Kevin De Bruyne, Jack Grealish, Matheus Nunes, and Manuel Akanji.
