Man City Roped in Abdukodir Khusanov from RC Lens for 40 Million

The Premier League champions have successfully advanced an agreement to sign Uzbekistan International Abdukodir Khusanov from Ligue 1 side Lens. the English champions will be paying €40 million (£34) for the young centre-back.

Understandably, Khusanov will arrive at the Eithad on a four-and-a-half-year deal and he will undergo his medical in the coming days to officially autograph his contract with one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Since December 2024, the 20-year-old defender from central Asia has emerged as a favourite prospect to bolster Pep Guardiola’s exhausted backline and City have successfully secured their target.

Last summer, Abdukodir Khusanov who has 18 International caps for Uzbekistan joined Lens from Belarussian club Energetik-BGU Minsk for a transfer fee of £83,000. Since then, the talented centre-back has amassed 31 first-team appearances for the French outfit.
