Man City Injury Updates Ahead of FA Cup Semi-Final Clash
In order to make it to an FA Cup final for the second time in a row, Manchester City will need to overcome both mental and physical suffering as few players might have faced injury concerns.
Man City Injury Concern: 3 Players Requested Substitution
With just two full days to prepare after going the entire distance against Real Madrid in their Champions League quarterfinal penalty shootout loss on Wednesday, Pep Guardiola’s team will now be short on preparation time.
Chelsea, on the other hand, will get an extra two days of recuperation and won’t have to worry about as much travel because the game will be played at Wembley. The Blues defeated Everton 6-0 on Monday while they were in action.
Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola’s side endured a gruelling penalty shootout loss on Wednesday, with key players Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne, and Manuel Akanji requesting substitutions due to apparent fitness issues.
Guardiola revealed, “Erling and Kevin asked me to go out… They could not continue, like Manu [Akanji].”

Guardiola Could Miss Key Players for Chelsea Clash
The trio’s availability for the upcoming clash remains uncertain, pending updates from Guardiola’s pre-match press conference on Friday.
Despite the physical toll of their recent fixtures, Manchester City received a boost with the return of Kyle Walker and John Stones against Real Madrid. However, concerns persist over the fitness of Phil Foden and Nathan Ake, who have both faced recent injury setbacks.
With both teams vying for a place in the FA Cup final, the fitness of key players will undoubtedly be a crucial factor in determining the outcome of this highly anticipated clash at Wembley.
