What Did Arsenal’s Gabriel Shout at Haaland in the High-Octane Premier League clash against Man City at Etihad?
The infamous Gabriel shout on Haaland:
Arsenal’s defender Gabriel Magalhaes was spotted hurling some words towards Manchester City’s star striker Erling Haaland when the two sides faced each other at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. Gabriel almost man-marked the Norweigan forward for the eternity of the match and didn’t want to allow him a sniff in front of the goal for City.
During one of the instances in the game inside the penalty area Haaland and Gabriel clashed with each other as the City’s number nine hinted towards the referee for a potential foul and penalty. However, Gunner’s defender wasn’t on the same page as he shouted at Erling Haaland.
“You dived, I didn’t touch you”, were the words reportedly mugged towards Haaland by Gabriel Magalhaes.
However, after the match ended, the duo were spotted to be in good spirits. They shared a light moment by putting their arms around each other. It was a delight for the fans to see both players giving one hundred percent in such a crucial fixture for their teams in the Premier League title race.
Man City and Arsenal share the spoils as Liverpool grabs the initiative
Man City and Arsenal played out a rather scratchy draw at Etihad in what was termed a potential title-defining clash at the top of the Premier League table. There were chances at both ends of the pitch for either of them to maybe potentially go on and grab all three points on the day but at the end, no one managed to trigger the scoreboard.
However, earlier in the day Liverpool managed to register a comeback win against Brighton at Anfield. The hosts after trailing by 0-1 during the early stages of the game against Seagulls managed to win it 2-1 with goals from Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah. The win followed by Man City and Arsenal’s draw helped the Reds to climb to the top of the Premier League table for the time being.
