Luis Diaz Transfer: Winger is content at Liverpool
Liverpool attacker Luis Diaz has revealed that he is happy to be at the club. The Colombian winger has been linked with a summer move to Barcelona. Diaz has been a key player for Liverpool this season, scoring 13 goals and providing five assists in 49 appearances across competitions.
The 27-year-old acknowledged that Liverpool’s form took a dip towards the end of the season, ending their aspirations of winning the Premier League and the Europa League. Diaz, though, claimed that his side still had a decent season and will look to improve both individually and collectively. Diaz further said that he is happy and content to be at Liverpool. He said (via GOAL):
“It’s no secret, we didn’t finish as well as we hoped. For us, it was crucial to win the league and all the competitions we were in. Unfortunately, the results lately could not be achieved.”
Diaz added:
“We fell [behind] as a team, but we made a decent season, both individually and as a group. There are many things to improve so we can have a perfect season. But I’m happy and content to be here.”
Diaz has been linked with a move to Barcelona with reports suggesting that the Catalan giants have identified the Colombian winger as an alternate transfer target. Judging by his recent comments, Diaz is happy to be at Anfield. Diaz is contracted with Azulgrana until the end of the 2026-27 season and has an estimated market value of 75 million euros.
