Liverpool set to enter the race for Piero Hincapie

The Reds have now entered the race for Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie, who is also being monitored by Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur this summer. Leverkusen are holding out a £50 million transfer fee for the 22-year-old defender.

Liverpool have been linked with a host of players in this summer transfer window, but are yet to make their first signing of the Arne Slot era. Hincapie has established himself as one of the best young defenders in Europe after his sensational campaign with Leverkusen last year.
