Liverpool set asking price for Sepp van den Berg
Liverpool defender Sepp van den Berg, who spent the last season on loan at Mainz, has attracted plenty of interest from Europe, with PSV Eindhoven having already made an offer for the 22-year-old defender.
Mainz are also keeping tabs on the young defender and are keen on bringing the Dutchman on loan for a second successive campaign, but Liverpool are seeking a permanent departure for the defender who is valued at £20m.
The Reds are yet to sign a centre-back this summer despite Joel Matip leaving Anfield as a free agent. Refusing to sell the Dutchman is perhaps the wisest move at this moment in time.
