Liverpool rejects initial offer for Sepp van den Berg

The Reds have turned down an offer for out-of-favour defender Sepp van den Berg from PSV Eindhoven. The 22-year-old is valued at £20m by Liverpool which was below PSV’s initial bid of €10m (£8.4m).

The defender seeks regular game time and has failed to cement a starting spot in the Liverpool lineup. Sepp van den Berg spent the last season on loan at Mainz 05 and turned up 35 times for the Bundesliga side.

PSV are keen to land the 22-year-old versatile defender and will have to make an improvised offer in the coming days.
