Liverpool make Martin Zubimendi their top summer target

The Reds have identified Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi as their first major signing of the summer transfer window. The midfielder was part of the Spain squad that won Euro 2024 and is viewed as a viable option in Liverpool’s defensive midfield role.

According to The Athletic, Real Sociedad were aware of Liverpool’s interest in the Spaniard, who could be the club’s first signing under new head coach Arne Slot. Arsenal are also heavily linked with the player.
