This was when he came to know that the Reds value the player at around a hefty sum of £100 million.

He further instigated that the Spanish club Barcelona be updatedted about it. Now with Liverpool lowering their asking price as reports suggest, it remains to be seen if Barcelona pursues their interest in Diaz this summer. Wherever things lie, it could become clearer after his stint in the Copa America.
Luis Diaz for Liverpool in the 2023-2024 season
Luis Diaz once again proved that how is a marquee player for Liverpool when it comes to their attacking prowess. The Colombian forward not only provided synergy to how Jurgen Klopp wanted to play but also became an integral part of his starting eleven. Whether it was playing alongside Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez or playing with Cody Gakpo and Salah, the 27-year-old looked sharp both ways.
In 37 games for Liverpool in the recent Premier League season, Diaz scored eight goals and had five assists. Luis Diaz also scored five goals in a total of 10 matches played, combining all other domestic and European competitions. It is worth mentioning that he wasn’t a prominent starter in these matches, and was used as more of an impact substitution by Klopp. It would be interesting to find out how he will perform under Arne Slot next season if Liverpool does manage to keep him.
