Liverpool eye defensive reshuffle with twin target ahead of transfer deadline
Liverpool’s efforts to secure key signings are intensifying as the transfer window nears its end.
The Reds’ defensive lineup could see a significant reshuffle with Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi and Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapie high on their priority list.
Liverpool identifies Guehi, who has been listed at a hefty £70 million, as a long-term replacement for Virgil van Dijk who has entered the final year of his contract.
On the other hand, Hincapie has a potential £50 million price tag but his addition could further reinforce the Liverpool backline, as they currently face uncertainties over Joe Gomez and is reportedly open to transferring the English defender as well.
